A Day in the Sun.

Living less than an hour from the beach, a road trip with friends to the sea side is a great way to spend a boiling hot day in the middle of an Australian summer. Lying on the sand hearing the waves crash on the shore has an instant calming effect, removing you from the busy hustle and bustle of the city. There are a few items for me that are essential to having a successful day at the beach.

A beach towel is always requires as it is a great way to avoid the burning sand, while still being able to enjoy the beach.
So that the skin on the bottom of your feet doesn't end up being sizzled by the burning cement or sand, make sure that you pack a pair of thongs, your feet will thank you the next day. I have defiantly forgotten this item in the past and trying to walk after the beach was a struggle to say the least.
I have recently started using little clear ziplock bags to pop all of my more expressive belongings in. This way they are protected from the sand and water, and your touchscreen electronics still remains functional.
In order to capture your amazing day in the sun, make sure to pack your Polaroid camera or your instant camera of choice. The beach was meant to be photographed in polaroids and it gives your pictures a much more genuine feel.
If you want to pop up to the shops during your day, make sure to pack a summery dress that you can throw on top of your togs. The dress code at the beach is extremely casual, so go for something very light and material that will dry quickly.

To make sure that your lips don't get too damaged from the combination of the drying sun and salt, don't forget to include an extremely moisturising lip balm.
Sunscreen is probably the most important item when trying to avoid getting burnt. Make sure you use a product with the highest SPF of 30+ for protection against the harmful rays. I recommend using a face specific sunscreen for your face, as it designed for this delicate skin and is usually a lot lighter, preventing breakouts a few days later. For an added protection you can also use zinc on areas that are particularly prone to burning. For me it is under my eyes and on my nose. Feel free to get experimental and use bright colours opposed to nude.

Now how would a day at the beach be complete without swimwear of your choice are an obvious essential. I recently purchased this spotty bikini off ASOS, which are extremely comfortable and a really lovely shape.
Speakers are perfect for a day in the beach. Make sure they are water resistant and protect your phone from the sun and sand. There is nothing more relaxing than listening to music and lying in the sun on a hot summers day.
So that your eyes are protected from the bright rays, make sure you remember to pack your favourite pair of sunglasses. There are so many different designs nowadays, so there is the perfect shape frame from everyone out there.

Perfect Skin Dream.

Makeup isn't something that I write extensively about and have a lot of knowledge on. However about a week ago I stumbled upon a makeup product that I felt I needed to share with you. I have quite oily skin, which is not helped by the extremely hot and humid Australian summer. I find that foundations are always a bit too heavy, causing me to break out even worse. I then opted for the tinted moisturiser route, but I find that even though they are much lighter, they don't have the coverage that I need.

So after wanting to try this product for so long, I finally bought it. BB Cream. I decided to go for Garnier's Miracle Skin Perfecter for combination to oily skin in a medium tone. I decided upon this brand after having my friends rave about its benefits, and I think I will be joining them. I am kicking myself for how long it took me to try this product as I have instantly fallen in love with it.

Garnier's BB Cream for combination to oily skin (40mL) - $14
This shade was a perfect match to my skin tone in summer, as I tend to go a lot darker. However I'm sure when winter comes back around, I will be able to mix colour in order to get the perfect match for my skin. The coverage that this product gives is fantastic. The little bit scaring that I have on my face from pimples is almost completely gone, as the BB Cream evens out my skin tone. I have found that I only need to go back on my face using a little bit of concealer on some of my worse pimples. This product is also good at keeping my face hydrated, giving my skin a beautiful healthy glow. As well as this it also contains SPF15!

I think that this product would be great for girls (and boys) who are conscious about their skin for school, but don't want to have to use heavy makeup everyday. It is extremely light on your skin, making you look as though it is your natural skin tone. As well as those dealing with teenage acne, it is also a great everyday product for everyone. Your skin will thank you for it!

Christmas Gift Ideas.

It's less than a fortnight till Christmas and if you are like myself and are yet to buy any presents, here is a list of great gift ideas for your family and friends.

John Green
My last post was about this amazing author and it was only right that I recommend his novels as a Christmas present this year. Green's novels have such a variety of genres, meaning that you can choose the perfect one for each person. I promise that once they start reading his books, it will be hard for your friends and family to put them down.
Lush Products
Lush is a company that makes fresh, handmade cosmetics without testing their products on animals. As well as this amazing work ethic, Lush also has amazing products. I particularly love the Christmas themed bath bombs that they release around the festive season every year. These are a great stocking filler because lets be honest, who doesn't enjoy a bath!
Bath-bomb (Left): Dragon's Egg Bath Ballistic - Citrus Scent
Bath-bomb (Right): The Comforter Bubble Bath - Redskin Scent
Anything Topshop
Topshop has just opened up in Brisbane and it seems to be the only shop that anyone can talk about. I know that if I was given anything from here for Christmas I would be more then excited. Clothes can sometimes be a little hit and miss as a present, but Topshop has a massive variety of accessories including these adorable socks. A perfect way to jazz up a Winters outfit.
Socks (Left to Right): Grey Rabbit in Purple, Digital Panda & Margot's Bear in White ($8 each)
Chocolates
This last one is obvious as everyone loves chocolate!

Author John Green.

I am not a massive reader, and I find it really difficult to finish books if they aren't action packed. However after months of my sister begging me to read a book by the author John Green, I finally gave in and I am sure glad that I did. I know that I am jumping on this bandwagon a little late, but I thought I would share this with the people who haven't read any of his novels.

My favourite genre of novel is dystopian, as I love to read about a present issue that has affected the world that we now live in. They are always full of action, like Hunger Games or Divergent, constantly keeping my eyes glued to the page. That is why I was pleasantly surprised when I started reading Green's novels, as the way they are written, I found it really easy to get lost within these fictional worlds.

You can tell that this author's mind is filled with knowledge which he shares with his readers, writing it in a way that is understandable to a wide audience. Green tackles issues and problems that many young adults face, taking a fresh and truthful perspective of situations. I found the topics that he chose to write about extremely relatable. As well as this, his novels plots are also vastly different, however his writing style remains the same. It's so lovely not seeing the same formula from an author. This is where I think his popularity lies.

As well as is literary talents, John and his brother Hank also have a Youtube Chanel, which for some reason makes me love him even more. He is a 21st Century author, who has used the power of the Internet for good. I am slowly making my way through my sisters collection of all of his books, and I highly recommend that you get your hands on this fabulous authors work.

'Tis the Season.

After a year of waiting patiently for my favourite month, thank goodness that December is finally here! The final month in our calendar year, and even early in the shops, revolves solely around Christmas. When my diary flips over to the 1st of December, I am allowed to express my Christmas joy that I have had to store inside me for an entire 11 months. In order to get into the jolly spirit that this time of year brings, I love to place small Christmas themed decorations around the house and my room.

As well as decorations, December is the month for overeating and putting on a few extra kilos. Fruit mince pies are a perfect treat to have around Christmas, either on a lazy afternoon with a tea or spread out to share with friends during Christmas drinks. When these little gems are cooking in your oven, their spicy scent fills the house, creating an almost instant merry feeling. The recipe that I follow is one that I have used for many years and is a favourite amongst my family and friends, so I thought I would share it with you.

Fruit Mince Pies

125g butter
1/2 cup caster sugar
1 egg
1 cup plain flour
1 cup self raising flour
410g jar fruit mince
icing sugar for dusting

Cream butter and sugar. Then add the egg and beat well.
Fold both flours into the mixture and lightly kneed pastry.
Wrap the pastry in a plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour.
Preheat the oven to 180°C/356°F. Grease a 12-hole tartlet pan.
Roll out pastry between baking paper. Cut out 12 circles and place into tartlet pan.
Spoon a generous teaspoon of fruit mince filling into each shell.
Roll the remaining pastry out and cut small hearts, or shapes of your choice. Place the decorative shapes in the centre of the fruit mixture.
Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked. Cool in the pan and then remove to completely cool.
Dust with sifted icing sugar to serve. (Makes 24)

Flower Headband
With Summer officially beginning yesterday, a flower headband seemed like an appropriate accessory to own this season. I love headbands, as they are an easy way to jazz up a quite plain outfit, adding a burst of colour. I purchased this headband online from Princess Polly for $40. Some headbands can be quite painful behind your ears after longer periods of time, but I have found this one to be quite comfortable so far.
Pink Ice (Pale Pink)
White Skort
I haven't owned a skort in years, and I remember when I was younger I used to be in love with them. When I was browsing online one day, I saw a picture of the beautiful Eleanor Calder (Louis Tomlinson's from One Directions girlfriend) with one on. Then I had a look online and saw that Market HQ had a design available that I liked. So I purchased it online for $60 and it arrived on my doorstep by the end of the week. This will probably be one of my staple clothing pieces for this Summer as it is extremely light and comfortable, and can be easily dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
Skort (White) - Size S/8
Tangerine Nails
Nails is Stage Dive
This would have to be the nail colour that I have been absolutely adoring this month. I was given so many compliments on the colour as it is quite unique. It is almost a fluresent orange, but isn't. I purchased this awesome colour from Topshop fo£5, which at the time was about AU $9. I found that the quality was really good and the colour lasted for quite a long time without chipping. Topshop has such an amazing variety of nail polishes that I know I will be purchasing more of in the future.

Artist Marc Johns.

I have been looking for a print to go on my bedroom wall for a while now. I stumbled upon this artist while looking on the online store OhhDear. After first seeing some of this Canadian's most popular prints, I investigated further and went onto his blog.

Marc Johns design's aren't just available as prints, they are also available as iPhone cases, t-shirts and mugs. I highly recommend that you go and check out this up and coming artist's blog, as his designs are very cute and entertaining. There are a variety of different designs that would make ideal Christmas presents this year. It is a unique gift that you know that a lot of people won't have.

Catching Fire Fashion

Last night I went to the movies and watched the second film in the Hunger Games series, Catching Fire. As it is always colder in the cinemas, I opted for a slightly warmer alternative. I decided to pair my newly purchased vertical striped, three-quarter length pants with a simple black top. As always, I felt that I needed to add an extra pop of colour, so I wore a pair of hot pink leather brogues that I got handmade in Vietnam about 2 years ago, but are starting to come into fashion again. To complete my look I wore my prescription glasses and my hair in a side braid, embracing my inner Katniss Everdeen. I also bought my sister a mockingjay pin for her birthday, as she is also in love with the series, so I felt that it was the final touch to my evening look.

The Movie Verdict
Upon leaving the cinema, I felt like it was my first chance I had had to reflect on the movie, as there had been so much crammed (in a good way) in 146 minutes. The whole film was action packed, never having a slight lull in the storyline, as all of the information was vital to the plot. I loved this as it meant that I was never bored and continually entranced within the dystopian world.

I am not a massive reader but when I stumbled upon the Hunger Games books awhile ago, I couldn't put this fantastic story down. So when I heard about these novels being turned into films, I could barely contain my excitement! The cast for the movie is phenomenal, having Jennifer Lawrence portraying the strong heroine Katniss Everdeen flawlessly. She is accompanied by the adorable Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark and fellow Australian Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne. All of the more minor roles are also fantastically executed, bringing the whole franchise to life.

The second book has always been my favourite, so I couldn't wait to see how it would be captured on the big screen, and I was not disappointed. The visual effects were outstanding, making the audience feel as though at times they were in the arena with the other tributes. Everything was bigger and better than the first movie. At the end of the film, I was so hyped up and in the most inspirational mood. I felt like I wanted to start my own revolution. That's what a great movie does, makes you think and evaluate your own life.

Dressed to the Nines.

Last night a group of my closest girlfriends and I attended a University Ball, and we had the best time. Even though we knew no one there, we had a great time on the dance floor and at the Photo Booth. Many people believe that you must spend a fortune on everything for a formal or ball, but last night I proved that theory wrong. I managed not to spend any money on the evening as I did my own hair and make-up, borrowed a dress and I already owned all the jewellery and accessories that I wore.

I borrowed an open back, navy blue, high neck dress from a friend. This dress style is something that I usually wouldn't go for, but I though that I would try something new and different. I chose to pair this with bold red lips, clutch and shoes, and both my earrings and ring were silver. I think that this colour combination is always a winner, and goes so seamlessly together.

First Year University Reflection.

After months and months of studying, I have finally finished my final exams and my first year of University is now over. Once finishing school, I had heard so many horrible rumours about how awful University is and how people really find the transition from school really hard. I am here to put these rumours to bed. I had an amazing first year experience and I wanted to share with you that University is actually a lot of fun, if you make it.

Firstly being able to leisurely stroll in and out of campus is one of the greatest aspects of University. If you have an afternoon lecture that you aren't really feeling, then you can just go home, no questions asked. This however can lead to you missing all of your lectures, so it's important that you still have some form of weekly learning structure. Otherwise when it comes to exam time, you will be stressed to the max!

The semester that I just completed, I was only at University two days a week. This gave me so much free time to socialise, work and even start this blog. As I had a lot of free time, I wanted to do something with it and I had always enjoyed writing and fashion so I thought I would give blogging a go. In order for you to have a lot of time on your hands, maybe even a little to much, make sure that you make your timetable as efficient as possible, so you don't end up having to go into University everyday of the week.

A lot of people I know struggled with making friends during their first year, however I was never faced with this problem. I study the unique degree of Bachelor of Nutrition/Bachelor of Media and Communication. There was only a handful of other people in the same course as me, and we ended up all finding each other and they were familiar faces throughout our lectures, tutorials and pracs. During your first year you are bound to do at least one group assignment as well, so again you have an opportunity to meet new people. My biggest piece of advice would be to put yourself out there and make the effort to make friends. Don't worry, everyone else is just as nervous and shy as you are, and I bet they will appreciate the effort you make.

A lot of people are extremely nervous for University, as it is such a different environment to school. I know it took me a while to get used to lecturers swearing and calling them by their first names. But it is seriously so much fun and one of the greatest experiences you will ever have. Don't stress about it and have a blast at this more relaxed studying environment.

Good bye University notes!

Bright Kisses.

Tease                                                                           Ohh La La                                                                         Beehive
I am someone who is not very adventures with there lip colour, as I usually stick with nude tones. However spring and summer are times to be wearing bright colours, so I though what the hell? I'll join in. I purchased a few bright colours from Topshop as they have really nice pigmentation and a really creamy and moisturising consistency. The lipsticks are £8 each, which at the time was about $13.

The Power of Music.

I am someone who loves to constantly have music playing in the background of my day, no matter what I'm doing. Studying, chores or even when I'm just on my computer. It has the ability to make boring times a little more bareable. However, I feel that once you start constantly hearing music around, it is almost like a drug. Whenever I am out and about, and there is no music playing my life feels somewhat more boring.

Summer and Spring are the times of the year when it is acceptable to listen to your favourite pop guilty pleasures. It is almost essential to have one of these mainstream album's playing while you are lying around the pool. Whenever you heat these pop tunes, you can't help but dance to them. As summer is just around the corner, I have began the transition into the music genre. During these warmer months I have been absolutely loving Katy Perry's new album Prism. It is the perfect combination for a killer summer playlist, and let's be honest, who doesn't love Katy Perry!

During the colder months of the year, in Autumn/Fall and Winter, it's time for your inner hipster can emerge. These seasons require a more chilled out vibe, which alternative music can provide. These are the sorts of songs you want to listen to while snuggled up with a blanket and a hot cup of tea around the fire. The really cold months in Australia are long gone, so I listened to this album a while ago, but I still love it. Gabrielle Aplin's debut album English Rain is the perfect sombre music for the colder months.

Music has the amazing power to change your mood almost instantly. Within ten seconds of listening to an upbeat song, it can have a positive spin on your outlook on life. I think the greatest reason why we love music is it's ability to make our lives feel more and more like a movie, having the very own soundtrack to our life.

Countryside Wedding.

If you have read some of my older posts you will realise that this the second wedding I have attended...this year! I literally have only ever been to one wedding before 2013, so obviously this must be the year of love and tying the knot.

This second wedding that I attended was again in the country, but this time the dress code was a lot more casual. As the ceremony was going to be held outside I decided upon flats over heels, as heels and grass are the combination from hell. I paired my much loved summer sandals with a loose and flowing dress. I am absolutely obsessed with this electric blue colour, I think that it just looks phenomenal on anyone! Blue and silver are just the perfect combination, so I decided to pair my dress with a pair of fine detail silver earrings and my vine ring from Cushy Living. With the casual dress code, that meant that I had to keep the makeup simple and light. Nothing too dramatic. A simple cateye and nude lip is always a winning match. I was actually lucky enough to have my hair done by the hairdresser for bridal party. As the dress was quite simple, I decided to go for a half, braided up do, paired with soft curls. I was really happy with how my hair turned out and it managed to stay in place for the entire wedding.
Dress: Witchery
Shoes: Witchery Sandals (Tan) - Size 41
The ceremony was held outside, with a small and intimate gathering of close friends and family. Thewedding had a vintage and country theme, which i absolutely adore. As each guest arrived, they were handed a small, white embroided cotton and lace umbrella in order to shield themselves from the hot afternoon sun. I thought that the location was beautiful for the ceremony, as in the background you could see rolling hills of the countryside.

We then moved into the reception, which was held inside and consided of five courses of extreme fine dinning. The food was exquisite and the entire evening was a huge success. I must make a special mention to the best man however, as he gave one of the funniest speeches I have ever heard in my and he had the entire room in stitches.

Weddings are such a beautiful time to celebrate the love of two people. I wish the bride and groom a beautiful life together as a married couple and I hope they share more amazing memories together.

Monthly Favourites | October

Summer Sandals
Every Summer I have to buy a new pair of sandals as each year I seem to "over love" them and wear them out. I am a sucker for a comfy pair of sandals that will last me through the warmer months. Now I usually go for a tan pair of sandals, that way they are able to match pretty much any other outfit. However this year I thought I would be a bit adventurous and go for a pop of colour. This cute shoes I purchased from Witchery and were only $80. I don't mind spending a little more on sandals, as I know I will get my money's worth. Also I am loving this lime green colour. I think it perfectly complements the silver.
Sandy Sandal (Citrus) - Size 41
Check Pattern
This fashion season I have been seeing a lot of this check pattern in the Northern hemisphere. So I thought I would be a part of this and I decided to to purchase a cropped shirt for this summer season. When I see this pattern, I automatically think of the Australian bush, as this is the style of shirt that I see a lot of the country folk wear. However the pattern now has more of a fashionable twist. I purchased this shirt online from Topshop. in was £28, which at the time was about $54. I have been pairing this shirt with denim shorts with either the top button done up, for a more "preppie" look, or just with the top buttons undone to be a little more casual.
Short Sleeve Check Shirt (Multi) - Size 10
Converse High Tops
My wardrobe has been desperate for these shoes for such a long time! Even though they are not the most appropriate shoes for summer, I most definitely will find more than a few occasions to wear them. They are a just a really comfortable and casual pair of shoes to wear. Converses are brilliant for a full day of university or any other activity that involves a lot of walking or standing. I managed to find a shop that was having a massive converse clearance. However as the red colour is one of the classic designs, mine unfortunately were not reduced. I was still more than happy however to pay the full retail price of $80.
Chuck Taylor All Star Hi (Red) - Size 9
One Direction Concert
On October the 21st, I went along with my sister to the One Direction concert. Can I say that I was not disappointed even slightly. The five boys bought so much energy to the stage and they bought a different attitude to all the songs they produced. You could tell that they made a really conscious effort to connect and interact with all their loyal fans. The arena that we were in was relatively large, but the band made an effort to connect with people, even right in the back row. The staging for their show was also amazing, having various English themed backdrops. I was fortunate enough to go to their concert last year, and I could see how much the group had developed vocally and as performers. I sure whoever has been to their Take Me Home tour will completely agree with me.

Happy Halloween!!

Smoothie Season.

Now I don't know about you, but I feel like recently the latest food craze on Instagram is people posting photos of their smoothies or muesli and yoghurt in a glass jar. You would probably pay around $10 for something like this. So I though that I would buy a little glass jar and make my very own smoothie at home. Don't worry I made sure to throughly wash the jar before I used it.

I absolutely love summer time fruits and berries, they are some of the best available throughout the year. This is one of my favourite simple, yet delicious smoothies. All that you need is a banana, raspberries, yoghurt and some rolled oats. I usually buy frozen berries as they can be quite expensive. Also if you ass frozen fruit, you don't have to add ice-cream in order to make your smoothie icy cold. Then you just place all of the ingredients into a blender and let in all combine. Then poor your smoothie into a glass jar, and feel free to get creative when decorating.

As well as being a refreshing drink, this smoothie is extremely good for. The berries are a packed full of nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants. All of these help in reducing disease, keeping you healthy during the warmer months. Berries also increase memory capabilities, the an ideal ingredient in any meal around exam times. Banana's store high amounts of energy, which will be able to keep you going all day. They also have been proven to improve your mood, and even reduce PMS symptoms ladies. Yogurt is a perfect source of your daily calcium intake, which is essential for strong bones and giving you a beautiful smile. Finally rolled oats, opposed to toasted oats, contain virtually no fats or sugar, while being filled to the brim with energy. That is why a smoothie like this is an ideal breakfast as it gives you the energy that you require for the rest of the day, or until your next break.

Study Tips.

I'm sorry that I haven't posted anything for a while, but this time of the year is always hectic as it is almost the end of the university year in Australia. So I have been frantically trying to finish all my assignments and study for exams. Now I know that these last few weeks of school or university can be extremely stressful, so I have devised some tips for you that will help you keep clam during this important time.

1. Eat balanced diet and be healthy
One of the greatest problems that I know a lot of people have, including myself, is the quality of their diet during exams. I am notorious for just snacking when I am studying, rarely eating proper meals. However when you do this your body gets a sugar rush for a while, but then it must come down from sugar high, you feel awful. Therefore eating foods such as bread, cereals and pasta contains carbohydrates, which slowly releases energy over a longer period of time. By eating this grain food group, it will make studying easier and you will find that you will be able to concentrate for longer periods of time and be productive.
Also remember to exercise and keep fit during this period. I know that you will be extremely busy but when you exercise, your body releases endorphins, which helps to reduce stress and will help you sleep better at night. However, make sure you exercise at appropriate times. I know that for myself, if I exercise to early I become lethargic for the remainder of the day.

2. Don't start a new television show
This is probably my worst study quality. Whenever exam times comes around, I always seem to pick up a new television show that I have been dying to watch. Now when I get hooked to a TV show I can't just just watch a few episodes. NO! I will literally sit down and watch an entire series over the period of a weekend. This semester the two shows I have done this for are Suits and I have just started Breaking Bad. Now this is a terrible idea, as it only leads to you being stressed for your exams and assignments. It is much better to have your episodes as a reward for a certain amount of study. So give yourself a set amount of time to study, then go and enjoy an episode, you've earned it!

3. Create a study plan
This is probably one of the greatest tips I can give you. Sit down for an hour one day and plan out your entire week. Include when you have time to study, exercise, work and of course socialise. This will show you how much time you have to prepare for an exam, which will either keep you calm for an exam or will force you to stop procrastinating and sit down and study. Students who have poor management skills, then I highly recommend doing this.

4. Get enough sleep
Sleep is one of the most essential things to being successful in your studies. If you pull continual "all-nighters", your body will be so exhausted that you will not retain your information. It is so much easier to study and you will be able to concentrate a lot longer, if you get a good night sleep.

Good luck for all of your assessment during this exam period!

Spring Sunshine.

For the past few days at home it has been really hot, and I have a feeling that the rest of this Spring/Summer is going to be a similar temperature. In order to escape the heat I decided to the movies with some friends. During the hotter months it is important to wear light materials and colours that won't encourage any additional heat for your body. This is what I decided to wear on my outing.

High Tea.

Today I have been reminiscing on the beautiful high tea that my friend had for her 18th birthday back in May this year. It was such a beautiful idea for a party. I had a lovely time to catching up with old friends, many of which I hadn't seen since the end of school. I love sweet treats and tea, so I though that this party was one of the best I have ever been to.

Church Bells Ringing.

I have only ever been to one wedding in my life, however I was only about two years old and have no recollection of the event. So on October 5th, 2013, I attended the beautiful wedding of my eldest cousin to her now husband.

Choosing an outfit for a wedding is always difficult and it is important that you dress to suit the occasion. For the day I decided upon a short cocktail dress from Princess Polly. I have had this dress for a few months and when I spotted it online I thought it would be the perfect clothing choice. With my dress I wore a pair of tan, strappy wedges that I have had for years and are probably on their last legs. However I can't throw them out as they are so god dam comfy. As the wedding was an afternoon event, I decided to keep the makeup very natural looking as I didn't wanted to have anything too dramatic. For my hair I did a high bun, as it was a windy day and I didn't want to constantly be worrying about my hair. When accessorising my outfit, I again chose to keep it simple. I wore a pair of rose gold square earrings which I purchased from Sportsgirl.
Dress: Lift Love Up - Size 12

The ceremony was a small and intimate service held in a beautiful white chapel, with only close friends and family attending. We all waited in anticipation for the bride and bridal party to arrive, while the groom nervously shuffled at the alter. Then the moment was upon us and the music began playing. Everyone turned to see the brides dress and we weren’t disappointed. My eldest cousin looked absolutely beautiful in a high-necked, lace dress and many tears were shed throughout the ceremony. And yes, that is the ring bearer at the front in a suit. It was pure perfection.

The decorations were stunning, as the rustic country theme was perfectly incorporated into the bush art gallery reception. The couple included many personalised and interactive decorations, putting their spin on the wedding.

As the sun set on the beautiful country location, music filled the air of the reception. Some lovely speeches were given, making us laugh and cry. It was lovely to see how other people perceived the newlyweds relationship and had watched their friendship blossom into love. Many of my elder relatives found their dancing shoes and decided that they preferred to be on the dance floor than in their seats. The cake was baked and decorated by the grooms mother and was extremely scrumptious. It looked as though it should have been in the window of a high-end bakery.

All in all the wedding was an absolutely beautiful day. I wish the bride and groom and lifetime of happiness and best wishes for their new life together.
